With most of the Nigerian oil and gas operations located in ecologically sensitive areas, we operate on the basis of ISO 14000 standards by taking extra care to safeguard the health of our staff while protecting the environmental from the impact of our activities. In the event of an incident, we proactively carry out mitigating measures while ensuring full restoration of impacted areas. Our HSE Management at GLOBESTRATIX is based on the following principles:

Health and Safe Operations

We raise awareness and assess the exposure of employees and contractors to health and safety hazards. We check equipment well being and maintenance schedule and take precautionary measures in handling sensitive operations including storage of corrosive materials.  

Environmental Protection

  • Environmental Policy works on three levels as follows:
  • Minimizing the impact of our operations on the environment.
  • Mitigating the impact of our foot print on the environment while taking full responsibilities for remediation as may be necessary.
  • Restoration of the environment to its original state in the event of an incident

Leadership, Commitment, Communication and Training

Managers are to trained to demonstrate compliance by examples through adequate inspection and certification of the standards required for every operational activity as well as ensuring training of needy staff subject to periodic review.

Risk Management

We periodically assess the risks of our activities, set priorities and develop action plans to reduce risks and minimize HSE consequences.

Management Of Change

Current and accurate information on operations, materials handled, potential health, safety and environmental hazards are maintained while changes to operational methodology are evaluated on the basis of their potential HSE implications.

Third Party Interface

The GLOBESTRATIX Safety Management Systems manual clearly documents our HSE procedures for which full compliance is a must to which all contractors and site visitors are also required to conform.

Incident Reporting and Investigation

All incidents and near misses are to be reported while serious occurrences are to be thoroughly investigated with emphasis on actions and lessons learned to prevent re-occurrence communicated to all sites. 

Emergency Preparedness

Effective plans will be maintained to deal with all foreseeable emergencies.

Self Regulation, Audit and Compliance Requirement

Compliance assurance is ensured through self-paced assessment program and regular audits of all HSE performance involving staff at all levels.
